Sunday Abare Mass

It Was Tuesday: Sunday Abare Mass


  • It Was Tuesday will open a Challonge sign up page around the Monday before the next Abare Mass
  • Players must sign themselves up via Challonge. This format is preferred: CFN-Area Code. So my sign up would look like: Sosage-925
  • CFN-Area Code format is so players can find you quickly, and It Was Tuesday can try to seed based off of area represented
  • For the sake of connection quality, Abare Mass is open to California residents only at this time
  • The sign up page closes on the Sunday of event at 6:45PM PST
  • Tournament starts at 7:00PM PST


  • No fee to enter
  • 32-player cap
  • Tournament starts at 7PM PST
  • Once a player has a playable match in their bracket, they have 10 minutes to connect with their opponent and start the match
  • The 10 minute rule doesn’t apply to match ups It Was Tuesday would like to stream
  • If one player is unresponsive after 10 minutes, they forfeit their match
  • If both players are unresponsive after 10 minutes, they are subject to a coin flip
  • Bracket will be open for players to report their own matches
  • WINNING PLAYER must report their match on Challonge
  • If a player reports a false result, they will be warned
  • Three warnings and you’re banned


  • PlayStation 4 or PC version allowed
  • Games are set to default (Versus mode, 99 seconds, 2/3 rounds, No Handicap)
  • Stage is random select
  • Kanzuki Beach stage is banned
  • Rashid Flying stage is banned


  • The Monday before the next Abare Mass, It Was Tuesday will hit Random Select on the Versus Character Select screen
  • The character that pops up will be the next Abare Mass character
  • Players must choose the Abare Mass character
  • Refusal to choose the Abare Mass character will result in a disqualification


  • Games are set to default (best 2 out of 3 rounds, 90 seconds)
  • Regular matches are best 2 out of 3 games (set Battle Lounge to “First to 2”)
  • In Double Elimination: Semi-Finals, Losers Finals, and Grand Finals are best 3 out of 5 (set Battle Lounge to “First to 3”)
  • In Round Robin: All games are best 3 out of 5 (set Battle Lounge to “First to 3”)
  • Win or Lose a game, both players must stick to their character. BUT, losing player can choose to go back to character select and random select another stage


  • Avoid WiFi at all costs
  • Macros and turbos banned at EVO/NCR are heavily discouraged
